Congratulations to our students who collected their results yesterday. We hope that they are happy with them. Our students achieved greater than the national average in the 550 - 595 points range and those obtaining 450 - 495 points was 7% higher than the national average. Our LCA students also did very well and should be proud of their achievements.

Parents and students should note that Ms Bowen will be available in the school on Monday 23 August from approximately 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. if they wish to consult her regarding any aspect of college or career choice.

Both primary and secondary students in Kinsale were privileged to have Richard Moore address them when he spoke of his story recently in Kinsale Community School.

Richard was invited to Kinsale by the Kinsale Peace Project. As a ten year old child Richard was stuck in the face by a rubber bullet during the troubles in Derry and as a result lost his eyesight. Rather than making him bitter this experience led Richard to ‘see life in a different way.' He is a humanitarian who works through his charity Children in Crossfire to eradicate childhood poverty.
