At its core, Kinsale Community School encompasses much more than just preparing its students for examinations. The school strives to provide a holistic and well-rounded education to its pupils so that when they leave second level education they have the personal, social, moral, emotional and academic skills necessary for their journey into adulthood. Kinsale Community School enjoys the resource of a full-time chaplain and has a well developed programme of pastoral care to cater for the moral, spiritual and social development of all students.
This section of the website aims to give an insight into the various helps and supports available to the students in the school. It is recognised by the school that parents/guardians and the home are the main educators of our students and that the school needs the active support of the home in endeavouring to carry out its task. This is why the school places huge importance in emphasising the importance of constant communication between the school and home and of course between home and school.
If you are worried about any aspect of your child's development you are strongly encouraged to contact the school - you may contact the Principal, Deputy Principal, Year Head, chaplain, guidance counsellors, or any teacher. The philosophy of the school is that if students are happy in school then they are far more likely to succeed in school.
