John Lonergan visits KCS

We were delighted to welcome Mr John Lonergan, former Governor of Mountjoy Prison on Thursday 11th October to speak with our TY students and are very grateful for the opportunity which was facilitated by members of Kinsale Youth Support Services.

Mr Lonergan spoke to students about a variety of subjects including the scourge of drugs in society, the reality of prison and how a moment of madness can destroy people's lives.  Mr Lonergan highlighted to students the importance of making informed choices and the importance of community.  Students were truly uplifted and inspired by Mr Lonergan's speech.
