KCS Junior Camogie v Colaiste an Phiarsaigh County Semi Final

KCS junior camogie team took to the field against Colaiste an Phiarsaigh in their county semi-final on Monday 7th November. There was a strong wind blowing in Colaiste an Phiarsaigh’s favour, however this Kinsale side were determined to not let it get the better of them.

KCS took an early lead with points scored by Catherine Murphy, Caoimhe Horgan Nora Gould and Aoife Cottrell. The backs were on fire, with very little getting past Maisie O’Callaghan along with great clearances by Sophie Hurley and Ava McCarthy.

Colaiste an Phiarsaigh began to make a comeback with some great points but that is when the goals for KCS commenced by Catherine Murphy. The half time score was KCS 2-5 to Colaiste an Phiarsigh 0-7.

The second half began in KCS’s favour as there were quick points in succession from Catherine Murphy and Aoife Cottrell. Colaiste an Phiarsaigh managed to claw back a point but ultimately were no match for this KCS side as the girls pulled away by racking up more goals. The final score was KCS 5-11, Colaiste an Phiarsaigh 8 points.

The girls will be facing St Mary’s of Charleville in the coming weeks in the county final.
