Celebrating Excellence at the Guard Youth Awards

The Guard Youth Awards ceremony held at the Dunmore Hotel on Friday evening was a memorable event, celebrating the remarkable achievements of young individuals dedicated to community service and safety. Among the attendees were Ms. Sheehan, Ms. Fleming, Ms. O'Shea, Ms. O'Toole, and Ms. O'Connor, who came to support and applaud their students.

Three groups of students from Kinsale Community School were distinguished for their exceptional efforts, each receiving a prestigious Guard Youth Award.

  1. Brian Nagle and Gearoid Whelton - The duo was recognized with a Community Safety Award for their proactive initiatives in enhancing safety within their local community. Their project focused on creating awareness and implementing measures that contribute to a safer environment for everyone.

  2. David Forde, John Quinn, Jack Good, and Sean Dinneen - This group also received a Community Safety Award for their innovative approaches to community safety. Their collaborative efforts involved working closely with local authorities and community members to address safety concerns and promote a culture of vigilance and care.

  3. The Tanzania Group - A group of students who participated in a service trip to Tanzania were honored with the Group Award for their positive contribution.
