Vivienne McCaughley Qualifies for World Irish Dancing Championships
Kinsale Community School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Vivienne McCaughley, who competed this weekend in the Munster Irish Dancing Championships and World Qualifiers.
Facing an exceptionally high standard of competition, Vivienne performed brilliantly in a field of 45 dancers. She secured an impressive 8th place in the Munster Championships. Even more significantly, her performance earned her qualification for the World Irish Dancing Championships, which will take place in Chicago in April 2026.
This is a remarkable accomplishment, as only 11 dancers from her category qualified for the Worlds—three of whom qualify automatically as Globe Holders. Vivienne’s success means she will compete on the world stage for the second consecutive year, a testament to her dedication, talent, and hard work.
The entire school community extends its warmest congratulations to Vivienne on this outstanding achievement. We are immensely proud of her and wish her every success as she prepares for Chicago 2026.
