Exploring the Future: KCS TY Visit Microsoft Dream Space

Last Friday, KCS Transition Year students, accompanied by Mr Fitzgerald, visited Microsoft Dream Space at One Microsoft Place, Dublin. This immersive experience introduced Chloe, Miley, Rafal, Eva, Conor, Roisín, Peter, Philip, Shonagh, Amanda, Danny, Cathal, Archie, Sean, Rory, Caoimhe, Miah to the power of digital technology and STEM, with hands-on activities in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Robotics, and Web/App Design. The Dream Space team tailored the sessions to engage students in coding challenges using MakeCode, Python, and other digital tools, sparking curiosity and confidence in technology-driven fields.

The visit was an eye-opening and inspiring experience, reinforcing the importance of STEM skills for the future. The TY Dream Space Visit not only engaged students in innovative learning but also empowered teachers, providing valuable insights and resources to integrate these experiences into the classroom. The day sparked enthusiastic discussions about future career opportunities in STEM, leaving students eager to explore technology and innovation further.
