First Year Sports Fair

This week. KCS hosted our First Year Sports Fair, an event designed to introduce our newest students to the wide variety of sporting opportunities available here at KCS. From team sports to individual pursuits, there was something on offer for everyone. 

Each sport was represented by Transition Year students who spoke to First Years about their experiences, answered questions, and encouraged them to get involved. They were also introduced to our Sports Captains, Erin Ridgway and David Forde. This peer-to-peer approach created a welcoming atmosphere and gave our new students the chance to hear first-hand what it’s like to take part in sport at KCS. 

As part of the fair, every student received the Microsoft Teams codes for each sport, making it easy to sign up, stay informed, and get started. The level of enthusiasm and excitement among the First Years was fantastic to see, with many eager to try out new activities and join different teams. 

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our TY students for their enthusiasm and leadership, as well as to Mr. Abbott and Ms. O’Brien for their organisation and support in making the event such a success.
