(1-10): A haon, a dó, a trí, a ceathair, a cúig, a sé, a seacht, a hocht, a naoi, a deich

(11-14): A haon déag, a dó dhéag, a trí déag, a ceathair déag…

(10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90,100): Deich, fiche, triocha, daichead, caoga, seasca, seachtó, ochtó, nócha, céad

 

2. Ag comháireamh rudaí (counting things):

An riail (the rule): 2-6 + Séimhiú     /   7-10 + urú

Cóta amháin (1 coat)

Dhá / trí / ceithre / cúig / sé chóta (2-6 coats)

Seacht / ocht / naoi gcóta    (7-9 coats)

Deich gcóta (10 coats)

Fiche cóta  (20 coats)

Aon chóta déag (11 coats)

Dhá chóta is fiche (2 coats +20 = 22 coats)

Seacht gcóta is triocha (7 coats +30 = 37 coats)

 

3. Ag comháireamh daoine (counting people)
