Deloitte Partners with Kinsale Community School to Deliver Financial Mathematics Programme for Transition Year Students
Kinsale Community School is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Deloitte, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, to deliver a dynamic five-week course in Financial Mathematics for our Transition Year students, sponsored by Irish Funds. This innovative initiative provides students with a valuable opportunity to explore the world of finance through the lens of real industry experts.
Over the coming weeks, students will engage with core concepts such as the time value of money, interest rates, loan calculations, investment analysis, and budgeting. The course has been carefully designed to blend theoretical learning with practical, real-world applications, enabling students to see how financial principles shape everyday decision-making in professional and personal contexts.
Financial mathematics is an essential life skill and an increasingly important area of knowledge for young people. Whether students are considering future pathways in business, economics, finance, or simply wish to strengthen their financial literacy, the insights gained from this programme will serve them well in the years ahead. As part of the Transition Year experience, this course supports our commitment to offering meaningful, hands-on learning that prepares students for both their academic future and the financial decisions they will face in adult life.
We are very grateful to Deloitte for generously offering their time, expertise, and support. This partnership represents a wonderful opportunity for our students, and we look forward to seeing the skills and confidence they will gain from this enriching experience.
