KCS Tennis Update –Two Teams Through to Munster Schools Tennis Finals

KCS is celebrating a fantastic run in this year’s Munster Schools Tennis Competition, with two of our teams reaching the finals to be held at Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

We proudly fielded three teams: Boys Under 19, Boys Under 16, and Girls Under 14.

Our Boys Under 16 team secured their spot in the final after a hard-fought win over Castletroy College, Limerick in the semi-finals. They’ll now battle it out for the title on May 21.

The Girls Under 14 team will also take to the court that day, facing off against Regina Mundi from Cork City

Meanwhile, the Boys Under 19 team delivered a fantastic performance, making it to the semi-finals where they were narrowly edged out in a tense tie-breaker by St Ailbie’s of Tipperary.

Kinsale Tennis Club

We’re very fortunate to have the generous support of Kinsale Tennis Club, who not only provided their excellent courts for our home matches but also sponsored new tennis balls for all fixtures. The club has a long and proud tradition of supporting Kinsale Community School teams.

A special thanks to Catherine Wilson, Aine Farley and Paul Brugger , powerhouse mum and dads, working behind the scenes - organising fixtures, supporting training sessions, and driving the teams across Munster. We’re hugely grateful for all their hard work.

A great showing from all three teams — well done, KCS!
