Tadhg Kearney Cup Returns to School as Beal Átha an Spidéil Grúpaí Ceoil Celebrate Victory

We were delighted to welcome the talented Beal Átha an Spidéil Grúpaí Ceoil (15–18 age category) to perform in the Atrium last Thursday., following their recent success at the county championships.

The group won the prestigious Tadhg Kearney Cup – a special honour awarded in memory of Ms. Bríd Kearney’s late father, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to traditional Irish music. Their achievement was made all the more meaningful by the group’s decision to return to the school and perform in recognition of this connection, and as a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Kearney for her continued support and guidance in their musical journey.

The performance was a joyful celebration of traditional music and a proud moment for our school community. We congratulate the group on their well-deserved win and wish them every success as they go on to represent the county at the Munster Fleadh Cheoil this July.
