Rang Realta’s Tree Planting Project Leaves a Lasting Legacy
Back in March, the students of Rang Realta took their learning beyond the classroom and into the heart of the school grounds, where they embarked on an inspiring tree-planting initiative. Armed with spades, watering cans, and a great deal of enthusiasm, the students planted a wide variety of native tree species across the campus.
This hands-on project was more than just a gardening exercise, it was a meaningful contribution to the environment. The trees, carefully selected for their ecological value, will provide much-needed shade, help improve air quality, and create vital habitats for local wildlife for many years to come.
Last week, we were proud to unveil a beautiful wooden plaque to commemorate this achievement. Thoughtfully designed by Catherine Coughlan and skillfully produced by Brendan Duggan, the plaque stands as a permanent reminder of Rang Realta’s dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
This initiative is a testament to what can be achieved when education, creativity, and care for the planet come together. Well done to all involved!
