NextGenerationEU Funding
Kinsale Community School received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used as part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive and equitable education.
Our school has invested in new audiovisual technology—specifically, short-throw projectors which significantly enhance teaching and learning by:
Improving visibility and focus – ideal for students with attention or sensory challenges.
Supporting different learning styles – through interactive lessons, visual aids, and multimedia.
Boosting inclusion and accessibility – particularly for learners with literacy, language, or additional educational needs.
By integrating this technology into our classrooms, we are creating more engaging, supportive, and accessible learning environments—ensuring all students, regardless of background, have the opportunity to succeed.
This initiative aligns with our Digital Learning Framework and reinforces our goal to close learning gaps, improve retention, and empower every learner to reach their full potential.
