TY Sustainability Team Bringing Climate Action to Life

Members of the TY Sustainability Team have been busy preparing for this year’s Primary School COP event, working closely with first-year students to practise a range of engaging sustainability-themed games.

These interactive activities are designed to encourage environmental awareness, teamwork and critical thinking in a fun and accessible way for younger pupils. The games being trialled include Guess the Tree from the Leaf, Removing Plastics from the Ocean, Sustainability Jenga, and Spin the Wheel and Debate the Topic.

The practice sessions provided an excellent opportunity for TY students to refine their facilitation skills while promoting key sustainability messages around biodiversity, pollution and responsible decision-making. First-year students also benefited from taking part, enjoying the hands-on learning experience and contributing thoughtfully to discussions.

The TY Sustainability Team is now well prepared to lead these activities at the upcoming Primary School COP event, where they look forward to sharing their learning and enthusiasm for sustainability with local primary school pupils.
