Rang Réalta Students Roll Up Their Sleeves and Make a Difference!
Students from Ms Brosnan’s Rang Réalta class have been busy making a real difference in our school and local community through a fantastic clean-up initiative as part of the Being Part of a Community Module.
Students headed out wearing their high-visibility jackets and using litter pickers to clean up both the school grounds and the surrounding local area. From the moment they got started, there was a great sense of energy and teamwork, with everyone eager to play their part.
The students showed wonderful enthusiasm and took great pride in their work. It was lovely to see them supporting one another, working together and staying focused on their shared goal of helping their community.
Throughout the activity, students were developing important life skills in a very natural and meaningful way. They worked cooperatively in groups, took responsibility for their environment, followed safety procedures and applied their road safety skills while out and about.
One of the highlights of the experience was the positive reaction from members of the local community, who were delighted to see the students out helping and making such a visible difference. This really helped the students to see the impact of their efforts and to feel proud of what they had achieved.
This was a very enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone involved. It provided students with the opportunity to build confidence, develop independence and feel a strong sense of belonging within their community.
Well done to all the students, we are very proud of the fantastic contribution you are making!
