KCS Fittest Student

Our school recently hosted the KCS Fittest Student event in partnership with Bank of Ireland, providing a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in fun, inclusive, and challenging physical activities.

We were delighted to welcome Olympic medallist and World Champion Rob Heffernan, whose presence brought great excitement and inspiration to the day. Rob spoke to students about his journey to success, highlighting the importance of hard work, resilience, and maintaining a positive mindset. His message strongly encouraged students to focus on being the best version of themselves, both in sport and in everyday life.

Students took part in a series of fitness challenges designed to test their strength, endurance, and teamwork. The emphasis throughout the event was on participation, enjoyment, and personal effort, ensuring that all students felt encouraged to get involved.

The event also reinforced key values of respect, inclusion, and positive behaviour, closely aligning with our Bí Cineálta policy. Students were encouraged to support one another, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and create a positive and welcoming environment for all participants.

Overall, the KCS Fittest Student event was a great success, with high levels of engagement, enthusiasm, and school spirit on display throughout the day. We would like to thank Rob Heffernan, Mr Abbott, Ms O’Brien and Ms O’Mahony for their support in making the event such a memorable experience for our students.
