Active Schools Week at Kinsale Community School
Excitement is building here at Kinsale Community School as we prepare to celebrate Active Schools Week, a fantastic opportunity for our entire school community to get moving, have fun, and embrace the importance of physical activity.
The PE Department has organised a wide range of activities that will take place throughout the week during tutor time, lunchtime, and selected class periods. A daily timetable will be shared each morning, so students and staff can plan their participation and try something new each day.
There’s something for everyone on the schedule, including activities such as Gym sessions, Jumping Jacks Challenge, Basketball Shooting Challenge, Laps Challenge, Table Tennis, Greenway Cycle and many more.
One of the highlights of the week will be the daily Teachers vs Students Challenge, taking place every lunchtime in the new gym or on the pitch. These friendly competitions promise plenty of energy, laughter, and school spirit as staff and students go head-to-head.
In addition, the school track will be open every lunchtime, giving everyone the chance to get some extra steps in, whether that’s through walking, jogging, or running with friends.
Active Schools Week is all about participation, enjoyment, and wellbeing. We encourage all students and staff to get involved, try new activities, and make the most of this fun and inclusive week.
Let’s make it an active one!
