Celebrating Creativity and Europe Day with Rang Réalta
Kinsale Community School was delighted to celebrate a very special occasion recently as students from Rang Réalta officially launched their new book as part of our school’s celebrations for Europe Day.
The event was made even more memorable by the attendance of MEP Billy Kelleher, who joined students, staff, and families to mark the achievement and celebrate the wonderful work produced by the students.
The book launch showcased the creativity, imagination, and hard work of the students in Rang Réalta. Throughout the project, students worked together to develop and create their own stories and ideas, producing a publication that reflects their talents, personalities, and enthusiasm for learning. The launch was a proud moment for everyone involved and highlighted the importance of inclusion, student voice, and celebrating every learner’s achievements.
Speaking at the event, MEP Billy Kelleher praised the students for their creativity and confidence, and spoke about the importance of giving all young people opportunities to express themselves and share their stories. He also reflected on the significance of Europe Day, which celebrates unity, cooperation, diversity, and inclusion across Europe — values that are very much at the heart of our school community.
The atmosphere was one of pride, joy, and achievement as the school community came together to recognise the students’ success.
The launch was a fitting celebration of both Europe Day and our school motto, “All Together in Learning.” It was a reminder of the power of creativity, collaboration, and inclusion in helping every student shine.
