Kinsale Community School U15 Hurlers Impress in Munster Championship
The U15 hurling team from Kinsale Community School have made a fantastic start to their Munster B Championship campaign, recording two impressive victories to book their place in the upcoming Munster semi-final.
The Kinsale side first faced Charleville CBS in a tightly contested encounter emerging victorious on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-10. It was a disciplined and hard-working performance, with the team displaying excellent teamwork and composure to see out the win.
They followed this success with another strong display against St Joseph’s Tulla. In what proved to be an exciting and high-scoring game, Kinsale once again showed their attacking quality and resilience, securing a 2-15 to 2-10 victory. The team produced some excellent passages of play and took their scoring opportunities well to claim their second win of the competition.
The panel has represented their clubs and school with great pride throughout the championship. Their commitment and sportsmanship have been clear in every performance so far, and they continue to grow in confidence with each game.
Attention now turns to the Munster semi-final, where Kinsale Community School will face the winners of the other quarter-final between SMI Newcastle West and St Caimin’s Shannon. With momentum on their side and strong support behind them, the team will be eager to continue their impressive run in the competition.
