As this table tennis season draws to a close, we look back on the good moments.

Milosz Rudak, Transition Year student, began a basketball scholarship in January at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama, U. S. A.

Transition year students, under the direction of teachers, Leona Forde, Brid Kearney and Sinead Brennan formulated a fantastic production of the musical; ”A homage to Hairspray”.  The musical ran for four nights from the 12th – 15th December.

The Coiste Gaelbhratach were very busy for Seachtain na Gaeilge 2018 organising both school and community wide events. 

This year for the first time TY mini-company students entered the Griffith College Business Enterprise Competition. 

On Friday March 16th the History Department, led by Diarmaid O'Donovan, organised a flag ceremony for the school community. As the weather was showery, the ceremony was held in the G corridor.

The senior hurlers have been very successful so far this year. They had a lengthy run in the Munster championship where they had comprehensive wins again St Joseph’s Borrisoleigh, Borrisokane Community School and Colaiste na Piarsaigh, Glanmire.

This year second year students at KCS had the opportunity to undertake two short courses- Digital Media Literacy with Ms Brosnan and Coding with Mr Corcoran …

The Junior Maths Competition is held for 1st Year Students since 1994. It consists of a school round where multiple choice brain teasers are answered within a 40 minute period and the top 10 students…

On the 27th February, three Transition Year mini-company teams and supporters travelled to the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery with their teachers Ms Sinead O’Donovan and Ms Maria Brosnan to take part in the Regional Finals of the West Cork Student Enterprise Awards. 

The Transition Year Offer Letter for 2018/2019 is now available for download.  Please print, read and sign.  Completed forms need to be returned to the school office and marked with TY Fee.  Please enclose the first instalment together with the signed form by Friday 1st June.
